Lockdown Has Been Extended, Schools Remain Closed
Head of Civil Protection and Deputy Minister Nikos Hardalias announced on Friday that nine regional units and municipalities have been put under strict lockdown due to the threat of the rising cases from the pandemic of Covid 19.
Moreover , he announced that schools across the country shall remain closed from March 16 to 29, 2021, following the instructions of epidemiologists. Schooling will continue through online classes.
Lockdown extended to March 22, 2021:
Okarania, Akhia
Vyotia, Ivia (with the exception of Skyrose) Fetiotida, Fukida
Argolida, Arcadia, Corinth
Thessaloniki
Artas, Thesprotia
Hercules, Samos,
Lefkada (except the municipality of Magnesia)
Municipalities of Clemonos, Rhodes, Chios, Anogia (Rhythm unit, Crete)
Severe Lockdown:
These areas and municipalities have been placed in “Extreme Danger” (deep red).
It will be in force from 6 a.m. on Monday, March 13, to March 22, 2021.

Lesvos
Municipalities:
Yanina, Mitsovo, Katrina Chenya, Skiathos
The rest of the regions not mentioned are in danger, ie (red).
Daily survey confirmed infections are 2,000 to 2,500 in a week. Most of them are in Athens and Attica.
On the day of “Kathari Deftera” (March 15) flying kites is allowed.
Hardalias said that citizens will be allowed to fly kites according to the tradition on the day of Kathari Deftera (March 15, 2021) after an SMS to 13033.
He said that as usual, the same measures would remain in place till Monday.
Quarantine is in place on Saturdays and Sundays from 7pm to 5am and on other working days, Monday to Friday from 9pm to 5am.
