Asylum seeker and residency cards have been extended automatically. The Greek Ministry of Immigration and Asylum has clarified that the validity of asylum seeker cards which had expired and could not be renewed has been extended.
. The Greek government has enacted a law extending all old asylum cards until 31/03/2021. Older asylum seeker cards mean paper asylum seeker cards.
New asylum seeker cards that are plastic and digital are not automatically renewed. In fact these cards should generally be valid until 31/03/2021.
The text of the law does not specify how you will be notified. When you can go to the Asylum Office to renew your Asylum Seeker Cards. But it is likely that the appointment system will be fixed on the online platform of the ministry’s website: https://apps.migration.gov.gr/applicant-card-rv/search.
Upon renewal of your card, you will receive a new Asylum Seeker Card. This will be a plastic card, not a paper one. The details of Legal papers extension are as follows:
The law also clarifies that 01/01/2020 and 31/07/2020 With the expiration date in between, all types of AdiaParamones(legal permit), blue Vivioci will be valid until 31/03/2021.
All residency permits that have expired or expired between 01/08/2020 and 31/03/2021, have been automatically extended for 8 months.
For example: This means that a residence permit whose initial expiration date was 01/09/2020 will be automatically extended till 01/05/2021.
As well as a residence permit which is 01/10/2020 Expires .It will be automatically extended to 01/06/2021.
